Midsummer Night's Dream

Already a while ago Punkangel and me did a little shooting for a outfit contest that was hold in our local J-fashion facebook group. The group is ment for people who live near Linz/Upper Austria and are interested in J-fashion. You can view it here.

So the subject for the contest was a Midsummer Night's Dream. Punkangel and I decided to do something in the direction of Mori Kei.

This was my entry for the contest.

And here some additional pics that turned out quite cute in my opinion :3

We really had a fund day strolling around in the wood looking for a good place to take photos. Can't wait for our next shooting <3

Also the winner of the contest still isn't announced. Punkangel and me got equal likes so the winner will be decided in a voting round. I'm excited for the results ^___^

See you again,
Yaya <3

7 Lolita Meet-up Necessities

Long time since I made a list for you, right? Today I have one for the newbies in your rows.
You are planning to attend your first Lolita Meet-up but you don't have a clue on what you should bring with you? Here is my list of things I found useful to carry to a Meet.

#1 Lash Glue
My fake lashes always come off after a few hours so I always take my lash glue with me to stick them on again. For this a pocket mirror also comes in handy.

#2 Hairbrush
Nothing more annoying than noticing that your hair/wig was messy after a photoshoot. Take a brush with you and care for your hair before taking pics.

#3 Refreshing Spray
This is useful for Meet-ups in summer. Spray them on your body and feel refreshed. They mostly come with good scents too.

#4 Something to drink
Talking with the others is more fun when your tongue isn't dry ;)

#5 Tissue
Tissues are always handy whether you need it to rub some dirt off your shoes or to to care for your running nose.

#6 Make-up bag
With some basic make-up supplies to refresh your look when needed.

#7 Parasol/Umbrella
Ok that one is rather optional. I love to take a parasol to Meets as they protect from strong sunlight, rain and snow. Moreover they are a great compliment to most Lolita outfits.

I always try to keep my bag for Meet-ups as light as possible as I have to carry it around all day ~

What are your Lolita Meet-up necessities? Share some in the comments!

See you,

Innocent World Sugar Cake Onepiece

There is something I didn't tell you yet. In October an Innocent World Tea Party will be hold in Vienna. I was lucky and managed to get a VIP Ticket (The VIP tickets were chosen trough a raffle).
I decided to take this occasion to get my first IW dress and it arrived yesterday <3

It arrived in a brown IW shopping bag.

The communication with IW was great. They sent me an invoice after I placed my order and sent me an email when the dress was shipped out.

The lace is fine.

The waist ties are detachable. The bow isn't as opulent as it is the case with most of my other dresses, so I maybe won't detach them this time.

Compared to the stock photos the print is a lot more pink. On the stock photo it looks like the print is brown only, however, as shown on my pics this isn't the case. No problem for me though as I like pink ;)

The quality is nice. The fabric is rather light and therefore quite suitable for summer. I love the details on the print.

Another observation I made it that the dress isn't suitable for cupcake-shaped petticoats. I sadly don't own an A-line petticoat so I couldn't try it with one. A petti with low poof works fine :3

I would order the dress again even if I had to pay a quite high custom fee.
I'm really looking forward to the Tea Party now, however, I'm sad that some of my friends didn't get a ticket :/

Whom of you is going to the Tea Party? Did you plan your outfit already?

See you next time,
Yaya <3

Instagram photo diary of the month: May&June

Due to my hiatus I missed to share my Instagram uploads in May. So I will share pictures of both months in this post.

On a lovely spring day in May I blew some bubbles.

I doodled some of my Lolita outfits.

Me and my friends had matching Smoothies in Shoujo colours :D

Since I joined Instagram I started to collect pics of my shoes^^

And last but not least my new bag. Normally I don't buy replicas anymore but this time I couldn't resist. The cookie shape is just too cute <3

Anyway, did you guys notice that it's now possible to upload videos on Instagram? My mobile phone can't display them, so I will stay with sharing pics ^^

Have a nice day,
Yaya

A visit to the Linzer Fleemarket // LALOAM of June

On Saturday Medoly, Yukii and me went to the Fleemarket here in Linz. Rather spontaneously we decided to wear Lolita.

This was my outfit:
Sorry for the dark pics :/

I did a simple Country-Sweet coord ~
Hat: C&A
Blouse and JSK: White Moon//Taobao
Ankle Socks: sockdreams.com
Shoes: an*tai*na

And this our little group:

Medoly and Yukii started a youtube channel lately. You can view it here. :3

The people at the fleemarket really loved us. At every stand we visited we got nice compliments and people were very interested in what we are wearing and so on ~  We also got some things for free. A man gave us free earrings and the bunny toy in the pic above was a present from a nice lady.
So sweet <3

It was a great day and I really enjoyed wearing Lolita again after this break.
Do you like going to the fleemarket?

See you,
Yaya

A healthy Lolita lifestyle

Hello chocolate- lovers

Somewhere deep down in my blog in this post I promise to do a post on how to live healthy. I remember I was inspired by this tumblr blog back then and wanted to do something similar.
I'm maybe not an expert when it comes to living healthy, as I am a big sweet-tooth, but I promised to write this and so I will do now :)

First I want to say that eating healthy doesn't mean to eat nothing. Eating nothing is actually quite unhealthy.
A good diet is well-balanced, full of healthy food prepared in your own kitchen <3
I also want to state that living healthy doesn't mean you are not allowed to eat anything unhealthy ever again. Eating a cake or something once in a while is perfectly fine!

Which food is good for you depends on multiple factors. Your profession, your genes, your activity..to name only a few. However there are of course a few guidelines on what is healthy in general, like avoid too much sugar, salt, fat..
It's also very important how you present your food. Especially as a Lolita I like my food to look nice and cute. I recommend bento boxes, molds and cute tableware <3

The right food isn't the only key to a healthy lifestyle. Drinking also has major role. Water and tea, especially green tea, are your best friends.
And of course a healthy life also encompasses exercising and sports. In this post I mentioned some sports a Lolita might like.

Remember that every step you are doing in the direction of living healthy is for yourself. I try to live healthy myself and it always makes me feel beautiful and gives me energy <3
If you want to do further researches on what is healthy and what not google is your friend.
I hope this post was a little useful for you.

Do you have any health tips?
Share them in the comments!
