New Shoes ~

Hello everyone ~
Finally the first part of my an*tai*na order arrived. I´ve ordered three pairs of shoes and two of them were in the package I picked from the post office today ^o^

I ordered pink platform shoes...

...and a pair of blue shoes full of bows.

I love them so much *-*

They also sent me free socks!

The are adorable as well ~♥

A short review about an*tai*na:
♥ the communication with them was super
♥they made the shoes really quick
♥shipping took about three weeks
♥the package was a bit damaged when I got it.
At least there was some plastic wrapped around it so nothing could have fallen out.
♥ As the shoes were custom made they fit me perfectly.
♥ I would totaly buy from an*tai*na again.

Surely you also want to know how they look worn:

♥ Matched them with the new socks ♥

♥ Matched with my blue bodyline socks ♥

Besides the third pair of shoes I´m also waiting for a fairy keiish skirt and a sailor fuku from bodyline. I hope I can show them to you soon ~

EDIT (18.6.13) Wonder why I never reviewed the third pair of shoes? Well, that's because they never arrived. I contacted an*tai*na several times but they do not even reply to my mails anymore.  Even if I like the two pairs I reviewed above, I can't recommend ordering from an*tai*na as their way to deal with this problem is so unprofessional. If you are going to order from them, better think twice.

See you soon,
Yaya ~♥

The Lolita lifestyle

Hello everyone :3
I´ve mentioned the Lolita lifestyle before but I never really explained what that is. So I will do it now ^0^

Actually it´s a bit hard to describe what the Lolita lifestyle is. In my opinion it is mostly that you try to put a little of this feeling the fashion gives you into your everyday life.  A classic Lolita ,for example, maybe would like do to activities ladies of former times did. Whereas a sweet Lolita would maybe like to do activities she also did as a child.
You do not have to be a everyday Lolita to live the lifestyle. The lifestyle actually helps you to put some Lolita feeling in everyday even if you are not able to wear it everyday.

found on http://maikosdiary.blogspot.co.at/2012/05/desafio-lolita-dia-2.html

So after this confusing explanation of mine I want to give you some ideas of activities a lifestyle Lolita could enjoy.

Activities you could do alone

(of course these can also be done in groups)
  • Holding tea time every day
  • Sewing
  • Drawing
  • Gardening
  • Baking
  • Cooking
  • Writing poems
  • Writing letters
  • Decoden (decorating stuff with rhinestones and so on)
  • Photography
  • Reading
  • Playing an instrument
  • Scrapbooking (a book that you fill with photos and so on)
  • going to the museum
  • watch children movies
  • blogging

found on http://andreanicolebaker.blogspot.co.at/2011/04/april-pretty-little-things-pullips.html

Activities you could do in groups

(of coure these can also be done alone)
  • Tea Parties
  • going to a funfair
  • going into a cafe
  • going to the circus
  • Karaoke
  • having a picnic
  • going to conventions
  • doing photoshots
  • doing a sleep- over
found on www.weheartit.com

Sports that fit the Lolita lifestyle

Please note that any kind of sport will make you sweat. I recommend to buy training clothes that go with the Lolita esthetics or to wear a dress that you do not wear so often anymore. The clothes you wear for sports should also be washable.
  • Ballroom dancing
  • Ballet
  • Ice skating
  • Roller skating
  • Badminton
  • Taking a walk in the local park
  • Hoola hooping
  • Sailing (especially if you are into sailor Lolita^^)
  • Horseback riding
  • Riding bike
found on http://katiealange.wordpress.com/page/4/

More things a lifestyle Lolita could enjoy

  • Listen to classic musik
  • writing diary
  • holding a monthly "princess day". A princess day is a day on whitch you spoil yourself. I´m planing to write an own post for this.
  • going to flee markets
  • shopping at antique stores
  • studying ettiquette
  • collecting dolls
  • taking a long bath

A last thing I wanted to state is that you do not have to be a lifestyle Lolita to be a "real" Lolita. It´s totally your own decision what you do in your life. Moreover you do not have to like all things on this list to be a lifestyle Lolita. :)

So I hope I gave you an idea of the Lolita lifestyle and if something comes to your mind that could be added to this list I would be happy to do so ~

See you soon,
Yaya ~

    The magic of penpals ~

    Hello my lovely readers!

I´m very sorry for not posting the last two weeks but I was on holiday and had no internet connection there. But now I´m back and this time I want to write about penpals ~

In my opinion having penpals is a hobby that goes perfectly with the Lolita lifestyle. It kinda gives you a feeling of living in former times when writing letters was almost the only way to communicate with people living far away. Moreover writing letters allows you to be creative. You can buy cute stationary (or design one on your own) and decorate your writings with stickers and stamps.

If you like you could afford a quill and some ink and write with these.

Another aspect I really love about letters is that you can put little presents into the envelope. I penpal of mine for example always sends me tea. She is so lovely <3
Other goods that could be sent are, for example, drawings, photos, small jewelery and so on ~

So were can you find a penpal? I use interpals.net but there are many sites over the internet where you can find one. If you want a Lolita penpal you could join the egl community lolitaletters or loli_of_letters.

Hello Kitty stamps found on http://cheezburger.com/4960599296

If you finaly found one it´s time to develope a friendship. In the first letter I usually introduce myself a bit in detail so the other person knows whom she/he is talking to. After that you can chat about nearly everything. You can tell your penpal what you did lately, what you think about this and that topic and all you feel like talking about. Make sure it is interesting for your penpal though. I also recommend you to not let your penpal wait to long for your answer.

I wish you all good luck with finding a penpal and as always the most important thing is that you have fun!

    See you soon again,
    Yaya ~

    Aninite 2012

    Hello my lovely readers :3

Yesterday, me and my friend Punkangel visited a convention in Vienna. It was my fisrt time at Aninite and I was impressed how many people were there.

We went there by train again and had the problem that the train we wanted to take was already full. So we had to wait half an hour on the station. We spent the time with talking ^0^

That´s what we looked like :3

The day at the con was great. We met a lot of the other Lolitas, took lots of pictures of cool cosplay, spent a lot of money and had a lot of fun.
Also quite many people took pictures of us. :3

    Outfit Rundown:
    Wig: bodyline
    Headbow: offbrand
    Blouse and JSK: taobao
    Shoes: secret shop
    Bag and Socks: taobao

I bough that Korilakkuma bag on the con.
    I love it!

I also bought a bento box and some cute stickers.

Before we went home again we also had the chance to visit a workshop about decoden.
The workshop was by Momoko the owner of the Austrian brand "Sweet Ticket". I love her creations so I was happy to attend her workshop ^0^

    I decorated some hairclips.

They are not perfect but I like them.
I also decorated a button but it didn´t turn out well and didn´t survive the way home^^

So that was most likely the last convention I visit this year and I´m already looking forward to the next year :3 And thanks a lot to Punkangel for the nice time. I hope we meet soon again ~

    See you next time,
    Yaya ~

How to have a lovely Lolita face

    Hello everyone ~

In my opinion, in Lolita fashion, it´s not only important to have a nice outfit, it´s also very important to have a nice looking face.
I want to share some ideas with you on how to have a doll-like face that will fit your doll-like clothes. So let´s start :3

    • Wash your face every day. Not only with water, I recommend to use a cleansing creme that will wash off the invisible dirt on your face.
    • Use moisturizer. That will keep you face from drying out.
    • Fight against your pimples. This is a hard thing. Especially if your younger it´s quite normal to have pimples. Here are some things that could help: eat less chocolate, do not touch your face, use a anti spot pen, live healthy in general.
    • Keep your eyebrows in shape. If you never tweezed your eyebrows before you could ask your hairdresser for help.
    • Shave your face. This might sound like a yoke but some girls do have a beard. That´s nothing to be ashamed for, just shave it away and nobody will notice.
    • Use a face mask more often. You could either mix one yourself or buy one. There are many diffrenet ones excisting for nearly every problem you could have with your skin.
    • Have a make up free day. This will give your skin time to recover. I personally try to have at least one day in a week where I do not wear any make up.
    • Live healthy. I want to make a post about that soon, so look forward to it ~
I hope this was of some help. If you have any further ideas please tell me in the comments!

    See you,
    Yaya ~

Tipps on how to make your clay creations cuter

    Hello everyone <3

In this post I want to give you some tipps how you could make your clay creations cuter. I hope this inspires you ^o^

    • Use transparent varnish to make your work shiny
    • Decorate your clay pieces with rhinestones or small pearls ( always do this after the backing because the heat in the oven will melt the rhinestones)
    • Use glitter. To be honest I still didn´t figure out the best way to make Fimo glitter but if you like the look you could use glittery nail polish. Or you buy solid glitter and put it on the Fimo before baking.
    • Wash your hands before working with clay. I don´t know why I didn´t state that earlier but it´s important that you wash your hands before working with Fimo because if you do not the dirt on your hands will mix with the clay. I also recommend to do not use a towel and let your hands air dry.
    • Use pastel colourd clay. Or other colours that you normally see in sweet Lolita.
    • Take real things as your model. For example, if you want to make a lolli look at a picture of a real lolli at first. What do you see? The head of the lolli is big while the stick is thin. Try to get the proportions right.
    • Use molds. I always use molds for making cutlery. This it was molds usually look like:

You can find molds for nearly everything. Check out etsy if you want to buy some.
    • Draw polka dots on the clay. Acrylic paint should work for that.
    • Details. For example do not only make a clay cake, make a clay cake with strawberries and cream on it.

That´s all I came up with. Just have fun and try different things out!

    See you soon,
    Yaya <3
