Generally very positive and warm feelings. I'm excited for Christmas every year^^

2. Würdest du dich in die Abwasserkanalisation einer Stadt begeben? Natürlich entsprechend ausgerüstet. Would you go into the canalization of a city if you had the right equipment? 
Rather not. I'm not sure what I should do there xD

3. Glaubst du daran, dass durch Politik/Wählen gehen etwas geändert werden kann? Do you think politics/ casting a vote can change something?
Well I know that not casting a vote will change nothing so there is a chance that doing so will change something  ~

4. Was ist dein Lieblingsname? What's your favourite name?
I don't really have a favourite name.

5. Glaubst du an Übersinnliches? Do you believe in supernatural phenomena?
Yes I do. I think there is more to this planet than we can see with our eyes ~

6. Welches Buch hast du zuletzt gelesen? Which was the last book you read?
I'm currently reading 'Jane Eyre'. 

7. Was hälst du von Leuten, die an Gott glauben bzw einer Glaubensrichtung angehören, und aus Überzeugung dahinter stehen? What do you think about people who believe in God or a certain religion and follow it by conviction?
If they think it's the right way for them why not? As long as the don't want to force others to follow their believes I'm perfectly fine with it.

8. Wann warst du zuletzt stolz auf dich? When was the last time you were proud of yourself?
Today^^ I'm currently working part time and today my boss told me that she thinks that I'm doing my work fine :D

9. Tust du was "für die Umwelt"? Do you take actions to care for the environment?I do the usual things like separating waste, turning of devices and appliances when I don't need them anymore, saving water where possible and so one. I also go by public transport most of the time. I want to do more in the future though ~ I'm actually pretty concerned about the environment. 

10. Welche Ziele hast du für dein Leben? What are your goals for life?
I don't really have big goals for my life. I'm rather a person who has smaller goals for shorter periods. However I hope I can live a life were I can decide what I want to do and don't get too forced by the whole system we are living in.

Nothing special actually. I'm having a cosy day^^

Hmm, I think the last time was when I had a sleepover at Medoly's house :3

I like to go to concert but music festivals are not my cup of tea.

5. Was wissen die meisten Leute nicht über dich? What do most people not know about you?

When I was a child I had an imaginary friend. He was tiny and wore a green shirt and black pants. His name was 'Elda'. I don't know why I had chosen that name xD

6. Wie würdest du deinen persönlichen Stil beschreiben? How would you describe your personal style? 

My style changes with my mood^^ Sometimes I want to be sugary pink and then again a little more elegant ~ I'm also not a fan of dark colours. 

7. Wenn du einmal Kinder hättest, wie würdest du sie nennen? How would you name your children?

That's a hard one xD For girls I like Bianka, Tabea, Sophie or Emily. For boys I like Gabriel or Rafael. 

8. Was ist zurzeit dein Lieblingssong? What's your favourite song currently?

9. Welchen Film hast du zuletzt im Kino gesehen? What was the latest movie you saw on the cinema?  

In London we went to the cinema. We watched a British movie called 'The World's End'.
10. Spielst du Spiele auf Facebook? Wenn ja, welche? Do you play games on facebook? If so, which one?

I don't play games on fb anymore. I used to play 'PetSociety' but I stopped over a year ago.

11. Was ist dein Lebensmotto? What's your motto for life?

Don't know if that counts as a motto but I'm pretty fond of the 'Holstee Manifesto'

Lolita-Birthday-Picnic

Yesterday, on 12. July I had my birthday. Today I celebrated it with my friends Medoly, Punkangel and Yukii. We held a picnic in a local park.

Dipped in Chocolate is back

Hello my lovely dolls ♡

I passed my final exams ♡  I'm so happy that all the studying is over and I finally can come back to blogging. I plan to catch up with some blog promises I gave you and never kept in the next few posts. I also look forward to many Conventions and Meet ups during summer so expect blog-posts about these.

For today I only want to tell you that I updated this post on my an*tai*na shoe order. Please read it! I will be back with a proper post soon :)

Lolita 52 Challenge- How strangers react to my clothes, and how I react to their reactions

It's Sunday again, so here is the next post of the challenge.

When you walk around the streets in Lolita you get in contact with many strangers. Sometimes they just stare at you, sometimes they will ask you what are doing and chat a little and sometimes they will talk to about you behind your back.

The majority of reactions I get on my style are super positive. People mostly tell me that I look good or ask me what I'm doing and so on ~
My reaction on this reactions are positive too. I try to answer questions as well as I can and always thank them for the compliments.

If people simply stare at me but do not talk to me there are three ways  I react depending on the situation

• simply ignore it
• stare back
• or wave to them and grin ^^ 

If people talk about me behind my back I ignore them totally. I do not mind their opinion on my clothes because this is how I feel well.

In general I like how so many people want to know what I'm doing and talk to me and stuff but very seldom I also think it's annoying. Especially when I'm on my way home from Meet-ups or Cons I'm just too tired to explain everything again and again. In this case I give some short answers and tell them that I'm in a hurry or something alike.

Moreover, many people also want to take a photo with you. If I'm not in a hurry I always allow them to take photos with/off me. 

On Meet-ups we often get photographed without people asking us for permission. In this case we either take photos of the people photographing us or we tell them that they shall ask before next time. 

Most people believe that we are either a group of dancers, actors or models. 

Children always think that we are princesses.

It's also always nice to see that many people heard about the fashion in the media and come up to you to tell you. 

I never had a really bad experience when I was out in Lolita. If you stay friendly and take things with humour others will too.

Showing my creepy side

Interesting tittle, right?^^
In today's post I will do something I didn't do before...I will show you one of my drawings.


What kept me from posting my artwork here before? The main reason is that I fall out of love with my drawings pretty easy.^^

Normally, I don't draw creepy stuff like this but I felt like it lately. I got inspired for this by different sources like creepy-cute fashion but also Alice in Wonderland. The eyeballs are taken from one of Kyary Pamyu Pamyu's outfit. The bloody roses are inspired by 'pastelbat's' jewellery.

I hope I can show you some of my art soon again.

Did you miss me this week? I'm sorry I couldn't update more but school is quite stressful at the moment.

So which keywords would fit my style? I came to this 5 words:

If you looked through the pictures of my closet post you surely noticed that nearly all my dresses feature strawberries. (that's why I keep matching my outfits with red^^)

Lolita 52 Challenge- How I first found out about Lolita

Today I want to share the story how I found out about Lolita.

I think it was in March 2011 when I got tired of how I dressed back then. I wanted to google some clothes to find into a new style when I came across a picture of blue Tea Partys. ♡

I thought they were so cute so I clicked on the picture and found myself on a shopping site called "clobbaonline" (later I found out they only sell replicas^^). I looked trough the store for ages and got sad as I thought I would never have the self esteem to wear this fashion.
However, it didn't go out of my head, so I did further researches, started to follow blogs and looked through other shopping sites.
In June, so about three months later, I decided to buy my first outfit. I actually never had problems to wear Lolita in public because I feel well in it and learned to not care about what others think of it.

'Private' closet post

In January the monthly theme of the egl community is always about closet posts. The whole month you will find all kind of Lolitas showing what is in their wardrobe. This year I wanted to join but when I saw how many closet posts are on egl I thought people maybe get tired of it already. So I decided to do the post here instead ;)

Lolita 52 Challenge - Topic #1

Hey lovelies ♡

Today I finally start the challenge!

I want to start with #15 "3 things I wish I was told when I was a new Lolita".

#1 "Taobao orders always take longer than expected"
The first Lolita items I ever ordered were from taobao. I remember that I ordered them in June and wanted to wear them to a convention in July. However they reached my in late August.
Seen from my point now I´m quite happy the things didn't reach me in time as it would have been a total ita-isch outfit but back that time I was pissed I had to go to the convention in 'normal' clothes.

#2 "Buy a matching head accessory right away"
When I placed my first order I didn't mind about buying any matching item for my had. I soon regretted that. My outfit always looked kinda incomplete and I still do not really have a head accessory for the outfit.

#3 "A coat needs to be around 7-10 cm wider than your body measurements"
When I first ordered a Lolita coat I chose a size fitting my exact measurements. Of course it was much to small for me then. I had to wait like two months for the coat to arrive as it was from taobao again and I also had to pay customs for it.
In the end I just sold it a bit lower than the actual price as it got damaged while I tried to try it on. So I lost the money I had to pay for shipping and customs and had no coat for the whole winter.
That was when I promised myself to not buy a coat from taobao again.

I believe anybody makes some mistakes when they are new to Lolita and believe me, after some time you will be able to laugh about it ;)

New Year´s Resolutions

Hello cuties ♡

It´s the last day of the year already. For me it was a really good year. At the beginning of the year I got new furniture for my room so I finally feel well in my room. I started with this blog and took part in a Lolita fashion show. I went to Lady Gaga´s concert in Vienna, visited conventions and meet ups and made new friends. I made it into the last year of school and some days ago I managed to get tickets for the Kyary Pamyu Pamyu concert in Brussels.
Of course there were also sad days but altogether it was a good year.

So after this sentimental stuff I want to present you some of my New Year's Resolutions. I want to:

• do a Classic Lolita coord
• make a Lolita picnic (maybe as a meet up??)
• manage to get my dream necklace from "cute can kill"

• do a twin outfit with somebody
• wear an OTT outfit to the Kyary Pamyu Pamyu concert
• buy an OP dress

I also want to get fit and eat healthier again ~

I hope I can fulfill these resolutions. 2013 definitely is going to be a year of change for me. I will do my final exams and hopefully make into university. I want to move to Vienna and live in an apartment with my friends.

Yaya´s fashion crisis

Hello cuties. How are you?

I´m in a bit of a "fashion crisis" at the moment. Actually I have three problems:

1. I don´t like my everyday style anymore. I don´t know why but I´m tired of how I dress everyday. I would like to do more J-fashion inspired outfits in future. However I don´t really want to wear Lolita to school because it simply attracts to much attention *sigh*
2. I´m in love with the more toned down sub-stiles of Lolita lately. I love the look of Classic or Country Lolita but I also do not want to part with the cuteness of Sweet Lolita.
3. I´m so in love with "mori-girl" lately. This fashion is just so cute and fairy-tale like and all *-* I love all the layers.

For those of you who do not know the mori fashion: "Mori" is Japanese and means forest or wood. People dressing in this style want to look like the would live in a forest. Therefore they use earthy colors, and layers are very important.

So what will I do to solve these problems? I don´t know yet but maybe I will simply start to collect more elegant pieces and still keep collecting cute stuff. It´s not bad to have two faces when it comes to fashion, is it?
